Congratulations to our Mind Shifters who organised our Mufti day and coin trail to support the SPCA. The Mind Shifters raised over $450. A credit to their passion to run the event.
Congratulations to all our students on striving to be the best during our athletics days.
Last week we had 40 Year 5 and 6 children attend the Zone athletics. We are so proud of our athletes who are going on to represent the zone at the Canterbury Central Athletics in December. I have had the pleasure of Ashlesha visit me this morning to share her research of Diwali and what the next few days of celebrations will look like.
Thank you Ashlesha for sharing your celebrations with me and she has allowed me to share it with you. Diwali is called the festival of lights and is celebrated to honor Lord Rama. It is believed that on this day Lord Rama returned to his people after 14 years of exile during which he fought and won a battle against the demons. I hope all that are celebrating Diwali in our community a most festive day. On behalf of the current and future students of Spreydon School I would like to to thank our Board of Trustees, staff and Mr Wardrop without their passion and drive we wouldn’t be here ready to start this new build at our Hoon Hay site.
It shows that if we strive to be the best we can by valuing the spirit of Spreydon great things can happen. Our new school Te kura o Mokihi on our new site is a testament to that. Thank you to everyone who supported our KidsCan Go a little Crazy. It was a crazy day with odd socks, odd shoes, clothes on backwards and some crazy hair. The School was able to give back to KidsCan who we are so grateful to be part of.
Welcome back to our Winter Term. We are so thankful to KidsCan who have provided us all with Raincoats to keep us warm and dry. Please make sure you bring them to school. The weather is so unpredictable at the moment. |
