As we stop to remember the Canterbury Earthquakes we are reminded of how strong our community is and how the rebuild is continuing.
The children have taken much pride in decorating the red cones we have around our school today.
Thank you for helping us decorate the cones with flowers from your garden. They do look amazing and the children have enjoyed stopping and admiring them and talking about the earthquakes and what it meant for their families.
Thank you to all our families who supported the Walk, Wheels to School day on Wednesday 15th February.
It was great to see such smiling faces as children were 'Wheeling" their way into School.
As we all returned from a fabulous long weekend of sunshine the property team checked all of our site and found the pool slide had started to show signs of cracking at the base of the slide.
It has been checked and found that it cannot be repaired. It has been dismantled ready for removal.
It is an end of an era. I know the children both present and past will always remember the slide at Spreydon School fondly.
